My name is Emily and I am a fourth year student at Wilfrid Laurier University majoring in Communications Studies with a concentration in Digital Media Studies. Throughout my university career I have always had to find the balance between school work, extracurricular activities, and part-time work. I am currently working three part-time jobs, two of which are social media oriented and have allowed me to broaden my experience in the field I want to pursue upon graduation. I am excited to be working with Minute School!
With such a tight schedule it has not always easy to juggle studying time in combination with classes and job responsibilities. Minute School’s blog posts have given me the necessary tips and tricks to avoid procrastination and make the most of my studying time during exam season. Turning off my phone, allowing myself to take breaks, and finding quiet study spaces on campus are all ways that I have been able to maximize my study time and overall success over the course of the semester. A packed schedule can feel daunting at times, but with the ability to avoid procrastination and improve productivity anything can be accomplished!
